Summer vacation is right around the corner! With only 4 & 1/2 days remaining, we have lots of fun and engaging activities planned for the upcoming week! Be sure to check out the “Upcoming Events” section below to see what we have in store!
THIS WEEK IN…
Reading– We completed our novel study on “Because of Mr. Terupt”. This was a wonderful book full of lessons about responsibility, kindness, and empathy. We were excited to learn that there are TWO more books in the the Mr. Terupt series. These books would make excellent summer vacation books!
We also completed a book tasting of many other books that allowed us to explore possible books to help us complete our middle school summer reading project!
Writing– The students completed and presented their Genius Hour projects to the class in which they taught the class about a chosen subject. Their presentations were engaging and informative! Excellent work!
Social Studies– We completed our unit on the West region of the United States. The students have now learned about all of the 50 states and regions of the United States! We plan to use this information in a fun Social Studies breakout on all 50 states!
Math & Science– Visit Miss Capano’s blog to read what students did in math and science this week!

- Moving On Ceremony at Moody Middle School (Students arrive at 5:30 PM. Begins at 6:00 PM)

Students that passed all 18 science review card quizzes are eligible to join a day full of science experiments and fun! Contact me if you’d like to volunteer! Students should bring winter gloves for a chilly experiment.
