Glance at a Golden Week 2.19-2.23

WOOHOO!!!! We are officially done with our benchmark testing! I am so proud of how well everyone did on ALL of their benchmark tests! We reached at least 90% passing in all subjects. Way to go Tigers!!!

THIS WEEK IN…

Reading– We continued to learn about drawing conclusions and making inferences with the wonderful Chris Van Allsburg! We read “The Wretched Stone” and worked hard to draw conclusions about the message of  his story. The students loved figuring out what idea he was truly trying to get across. Ask your student about the message we learned from this excellent story!

Writing– We learned about interjections! Interjections are words or phrases that express either mild or strong emotions. These will be used in their silent movie projects!

Social Social– We identified the states in the Northeast Region and will identify the capitals on a quiz next week! The students will use their Social Studies Alive textbook to learn more about the land and people in the Northeast, next week.

Math & Science–  Visit Miss Capano’s blog to read what students did in math and science this week!
