Tech week for the CFA Theatre Spring Showcase starts March 20, 2017.  The rehearsal schedule is below.  Remember, rehearsals are MANDATORY!

Monday 3/20/17 Levels I & II 4:00-7:30 p.m.

Tuesday 3/21/2017 Levels I & III 4:00-7:00 p.m.

Wednesday 3/22/2017 All levels 4:00-8:00 p.m.

Thursday 3/23/2017 All levels 4:00-9:00 p.m.

Friday and Saturday 3/24/2017 & 3/25/2017 Showcase 6:00 p.m. Call, 7:30 p.m. performance

Students who have applied to the Center for the Arts will be able to check their application status online on March 10, 2017.  Those students selected to the Center for the Arts will be invited to attend an Experience Day on the campus of Henrico High School on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.  Because of the short amount of time between notification of acceptance and the Experience Day event, we wanted to give you notice now so that selected students will be ready to RSVP to this event.  Selected students will receive details about the Experience Day soon after the application results are posted on March 10.

All CFA auditions take place at Henrico High School on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the 4 locations noted below.   Please arrive 10 minutes early to sign in for your audition at the check in table, located at each of the 4 audition areas.  There also will be a general information table in the Main Commons.  Only students who submitted an application for the 2017-2018 school year may audition.

Dance ( Dance Studio)

Session A:  Last names A–M & 2 years or less dance experience       9:00 a.m.–10:30 a.m.

Session B:   Last names N–Z & 2 years or less dance experience     10:45 a.m.–12:15 p.m.

Session C:   Last names A–M & 3 years or more dance experience     1:30 p.m.–3:00 p.m.

Session D:   All students N–Z & 3 or more years dance experience     3:15 p.m.–4:45 p.m.

Musical Theatre  (Auditorium), Theatre (Black Box Theatre) and Visual Arts (Art Building)

Session A:   Last names A–F      9:00 a.m.–10:30 a.m.

Session B:   Last names G–L     10:45 a.m.–12:15 p.m.

Session C:   Last names M–R     1:30 p.m.–3:00 p.m.

Session D:   Last names S–Z      3:15 p.m.–4:45 p.m.

Applications for the 2017-18 have been coming in and the deadline is today, January 13. We are excited to get the process going and looking forward to audition day on February 4! Applicants who would like a little extra practice are welcome to sign up for an audition workshop on January 21. Two time slots are available: 9AM and 10:30AM. If you haven’t already grabbed a spot, call 228-2718 to sign up.

Please check out our “Future Students” tab to locate application information.  Current HCPS 8th grade students must use the online application.  Non-HCPS students and current HCPS students applying to the Center for the Arts must submit a paper application.   The application due date is January 13, 2017.  CFA auditions are held on February 4.
