National Scholastics Art and Writing Awards – Tops honors right here at CFA!!!

We are so proud to share the results of this year’s National Scholastics Art and Writing Awards in our HHS CFA Visual Arts program!

We had a SILVER INDIVIDUAL WINNER for VISUAL ARTS, a NATIONAL GOLD KEY WINNER FOR VISUAL ARTS, AND A NATIONAL GOLD KEY PORTFOLIO WINNER FOR VISUAL ARTS!

These students were selected from hundreds of thousands of regional entries throughout the country and because they won gold at the regional level, their submissions were blindly adjudicated by some of the foremost leaders in the visual arts. These prestigious awards make them eligible to publish in national collections in print and online and nominate them for top scholarship opportunities at art colleges around the country.

A very limited number of students are honored around the country so please congratulate the following student for her SILVER MEDAL recognition in Comic Arts on the national level:

Jordyn J. – CFA Visual Arts IV

Jordyn J. “A trip to the Museum”

National Scholastic 2022 Silver Medal Award winner

Our two gold key winners on the national level this year are among the most select group of students who will be honored in NYC at a special ceremony at Carnegie Hall on June 8th !!!!

Please congratulate:

Cameryn M. from CFA Visual Level IV for her winning entry in the Visual Arts Digital Art category! Cameryn is one of only a handful of students in the state of Virginia to win to receive this prestigious award!!

Cameryn M.  “Loc’d”

National Scholastics 2022 Gold Medal Winner

Finally, we are so proud to announce that our senior Andrew P. has won THE TOP AWARD IN THE COUNTRY for his senior portfolio!! Andrew was selected from hundreds of winning entries in regions around the country to be one of only EIGHT students recognized with a Gold Key Portfolio win. Andrew will be recognized onstage at Carnegie Hall, will be published in a National publication, will participate in a virtual panel in May, and receives a scholarship for his incredible accomplishment.
