Lesson Summary
Students learned about Animal Adaptations through classroom lessons and a Skype session with a zoologist in the library. As a follow up, students came to the library for four 45-60 minute classes to work with a partner to research animal adaptations using books, text features, and online databases to locate information about two animals they chose. They used these resources to fill out a graphic organizer about these two specific animals. They created a new animal, combining adaptations of the two animals they researched. Students used Google Slides to present their research of two real animals and shared the new animal they have create.
