Partner Pedometer Pacer Fitness Fun – 8008

Summary

This lesson allows the students to team build, cooperate, and practice analyzing in groups. Each group will participate in a partner fitness practice activity to prepare them for the Fitnessgram posttest in two weeks.

TIPC Ratings

Research and Information Fluency was not a focus of this lesson.

Students worked in teams to make predictions, gather and analyze data. They supported each other as teammates. Students further collaborated to create graphs to display the data they gathered.

Through the use of pedometers, students learned to reflect, compare and then justify their physical activity. Through the use of a Google Form, class data was gathered for students to further analyze and then set goals to perform well on their posttest.

Creativity and Innovation was not a focus of this lesson.
