JAM Bullying Prevention

Summary

I will have my students read the book Jackie and Me.  Discuss as a whole group and bring out eight important characteristics to friendship. Students will generate questions they have on bullying and submit them to our guidance counsolor and use the return responses as more research.   Students get into groups  of 3 and  discuss a characteristic they would like to focus on and how that characteristic was demonstrated in the book Jackie and Me.  My ITRT was asked to do a review on Keynote, Comic Life, and introduce Garage Band for podcasting.  These are three choices the students will have for a presentation to the class on their anti bullying campaign.  After students know of their choices and after discussion on how to “sell” or “convince” an idea to others, students are given time to work on their PSA or Ad.  All projects will be posted onto my blog for classmates, parents, own school, and other schools to use to go along with their anti bullying campaignes.
