Continent Trekkers

Summary

After using Virginia Trekkers podcasts to learn about U.S. Geography, Second graders will discover that there are no podcasts on VA Trekkers to help them learn about the continents and oceans!  In groups of three, students will research a continent of their choice. They will create a video of information from that continent in order to create a World Trekkers map to present to VA Trekkers. Each group will decide how they would like to video their podcast: using a design challenge of their continent, filming a news report, or creating a claymation.  We will post our podcasts on the teacher’s blog and hopefully on the Virginia Trekkers website.
