We are so very proud and happy to congratulate Mr. Todd Ritter, CFA Lead Theatre teacher at Henrico High, who was selected as a recipient of a 2017 R.E.B. Award for Teaching Excellence! Mr. Ritter was chosen out of over 100 applicants from four neighboring school divisions in the greater Richmond area to be one of the thirty finalists, and out of those thirty finalists he was selected as one of the fifteen grant recipients! Mr. Ritter was awarded a grant of over $10,000 so that he can travel to Florence, Italy to participate in commedia dell’arte training workshops and to study mask-making techniques.
Mr. Ritter was nominated for this award by one of his CFA Theatre students, Alyssa Shuster, who recently graduated from the CFA program and is now studying Theatre at Columbia College in Chicago. Since Alyssa was unable to attend the ceremony at the Virginia Historical Society last night, her mother Michelle Shuster attended in her stead.
