Great resources!

Great workshop for parents: Youth Mental Health during Covid 19: Guidance for Caregivers.

This past week was Resilience Week Virginia and there are some amazing resources to share!

At a time when building resilience is more important than ever, our communities will celebrate by focusing on 7 themes: Connection, Gratitude & Kindness, Grief & Loss, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Happiness & Play, COVID-19 Pandemic, and Mind, Body & Spirit.

A choice board for grown-ups! (I really like the Mind, Body, Spirit page)

Virtual Career Day – Submit a video!

Virtual Career Day is coming and we need you! Submit a short 2-5 minute “selfie-style” video all about your career. See an example here. Videos can include as much or as little detail as you’d like. The beauty of a virtual career day is that you can actually show the students where you work, the tools you use, etc! Videos are due by April 26. Here is a flyer with more details and directions on how to submit your video.

On May 5, students will be able to explore a ton of career videos from our Trevvett Community! Anyone can submit a video, so feel free to ask friends, family, neighbors, and community members!

Weekend Food Bags

Dear Trevvett Family,

We have an opportunity to send home bags of non-perishable food items with students to help get your family through the weekend. The bags are packed off-site and delivered to Trevvett, where they will sit for at least three days before being sent home. I will deliver the bags to students’ classrooms Friday afternoons and sanitize my hands before and after each exchange. If you are interested in having your student(s) participate in this program, please fill in and return the slip below to your child’s teacher by March 12. I call this program my “Weekend Warriors.” Only one form needed per family.

Please contact me directly with any questions or concerns about this program.

Be well,

Bethany Bushey, M.Ed, NCC

School Counselor

Please contact me if you would like your child to participate.

Trevvett’s Talent Has No Limits!

We know at Trevvett learning has no limits… but talent doesn’t either! Calling all talented tigers – we are having a virtual talent show! We want to see our talented tigers in action. Film your tigers performing their talent. Video entries should be 1 minute or less and get submitted via this Google Form by March 19. Costumes and props are encouraged! The whole school will watch the talent show together on April 2nd as part of our PAW Celebration.
