We are collecting cans for the Christmas Mother this week.  Canned goods, boxed food, and dry goods like peanut butter are welcome!

Here is the November Fitness Challege from Mrs. Griffeth.

Parents,

We will be eating lunch in the classroom during Enrichment Day on Friday.  Our wonderful room mothers have organized our lunch.  Our main course will be pizza.  Children do not need to bring in a lunch Friday unless they do not like pizza.

We are looking forward to a fun Enrichment Day on Friday, November 1^st.  Thank you to all those who have volunteered to send in items.  Please send in the pink permission form that indicates what foods your child is able to eat.  Here is a link to the form if your child misplaced it. Enrichment Day Permission Form

Our PE program is presenting a challenge for our students for the month of October.  I apologize the challenge is being presented to you late!  Throughout this month your child/children have the opportunity to earn points for their grade level through various fitness challenges.  Please check out the attached items to learn more about this challenge!  Also, be prepared to print out the calendar to sign it for your child to turn in. The grade level with the most points wins a COLOR RUN up on our track!!

Students- I love trivia questions so here is one for you.  Name one of the only sports where the team with the ball is on defense.

Parents- Please update your Membership Toolkit account by selecting “Wasserman” under Classroom Teacher.  This will allow me to communicate class events with you and post sign-up opportunities like Enrichment Days and Explore Labs.  You’ll also be able to access the school directory online.

I will be posting homework and important dates on our class blog calendar (link at the top of this page).  You can subscribe to our class blog in the right column so you can receive e-mails (just a few a month) when a new post is made.  This will be a great way to keep in touch with happenings in the classroom.  You can also follow our class activities on Twitter at @MrWassermanRVA

A few items were left off the Supply List.  These additional supplies are needed:              2 or 3-Inch Three-Ring Canvas Zip Binder                                                                          3 Spiral Notebooks                                                                                                              6 Subject Dividers for Binder                                                                                              1 Clipboard

These supplies are NOT needed:                                                                                       – index cards                                                                                                                       – dry erase markers                                                                                                           – multi-colored markers                                                                                                       – only 2 glue sticks are needed

Please have your child bring a Chapter Book to read by the second day of school.
