I grew up right here in the Echo Lake community and attended RC Longan Elementary. As a child I played softball for the Blue Jays and swam on the Hungary Creek Swim Team. In 1975 I graduated from J. R. Tucker High School. In 1979 I received my B.S. from VA Tech and in 2003 I received my M.S. from VA Tech.
This is my 42nd year teaching elementary health and physical education. My first 8 years were spent in Varina. I next taught at Dumbarton for 12 years, and have been at Echo Lake since it opened. I love teaching in the community I call home!
Personally, I have 36 year old identical twin daughters and a yellow lab puppy. I have two son-in-laws, three grandsons that I adore, and three grand-dogs! I love hiking, walking, running, swimming, playing tennis, and singing with my chorus. Mexican food is my favorite! My favorite place to be is at the beach with the mountains taking a close second! I love everything and anything that is about VA Tech!! Go Hokies!
