Week 21 Update

Thank you to all the parents who came out for conferences last night! I enjoyed speaking with you all and bragging about your children!

Rockin’ out to the “pirates say -ar!” song!
Group reading time! 🙂
We listened to a song by Duke Ellington after we read his biography. They loved it!

This week we enjoyed reading biographies about notable African-Americans to celebrate Black History Month! We learned about Duke Ellington, Rosa Parks, Katherine Johnson, Dave the Potter and Melba Liston. We learned all about George Washington and Thomas Jefferson’s contributions in the founding of America. We mastered our knowledge of attributes of shapes this week and learned about words with the -ar sound!
