Students wishing to retake an SOL Test they have previously failed or transfer students needing the verified credit will have an opportunity to retake the SOL test(s) this summer along with a 1 or 2 weeks’ Refresher Course for the test. Students will complete the SOL test on Thursday of the selected Refresher course, if they are successful, they may return the second week for another course or if they are not successful, they may return to repeat and retest the following Thursday. Students who are taking an SOL test this summer are strongly encouraged to enroll in a refresher course for review. Please note, the student must have passed the assigned course in order to sign up for the SOL Refresher and/or retest.
Failure to turn in the Project Graduation registration by the deadline (June 22, 2016) may jeopardize your child’s ability to participate in the program. You may assume your child is registered if the application is submitted by 5:00 PM on June 22, 2016: no confirmation letter or email will be sent.
Your child is invited to take the following refresher class (es) this summer at Highland Springs High School:
English: Writing, English: Reading, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Earth Science, Biology, World History I & II, VA/US History, WISE – Economics & Personal Finance, Work Keys-Reading, and Work Keys-Writing.
Bus transportation will be offered for the refresher classes from the home high school sites. Listed below are the transportation pick up sites and refresher courses with the dates of each offering.
