Dear Families,
The world’s a little confusing for all of us right now—grown ups and little ones alike—but one thing’s for sure, when you’re safe at home with family, everything feels a whole lot better. Henrico County Public Schools has extended the closure and now school is CLOSED until Tuesday, April 14th.
As you have probably noticed this week in working with your child, the HCPS Distance Learning Packet that you received has enough engaging activities to last the entire closure period. We also ask that you please continue some of the routines you had in place before the closure.
- Continue to read each night with your child.
- Continue to review the Rainbow Words https://docs.google.com/document/d/1OJ3dC1EhjM-5y_vn57mxSE7iCGNxfvkQcLUSbEodATY/edit. Practice reading the words, writing the words, and spelling the words.
- Continue to review numbers. Practice counting up to 120, count backwards from 10-0, and count by 10s to 100.
Please realize your child does not have to do online work during this closure. It is NOT required. It’s just a suggestion for those who would like to do more or can access online resources. If you do not have access, focus on the Distance Learning Packet activities (which do not require internet or electronics).
