We have had a fabulous week of learning! We have been reading books about pumpkins and learning the pumpkin life cycle

Patterns are so much fun! We have made color, shape, and size patterns, as well as patterns with our bodies. Clap, Snap, Stomp! Ask your child to tell you a pattern.

Science/Social Studies: Patriotism

The student will develop an understanding of how communities express patriotism through events and symbols by:

c)       knowing that the president is the leader of the United States.

  • Which colors and shapes are used on the American flag?
  • Recognize the words to the Pledge of Allegiance when spoken by an adult.
  • What title is given to the top leader of government in the United States?

  • patriotism: feeling of respect for and love of country and state

Monday, Oct. 28- 1/2 day of school (11:00 dismissal) and STEAM DAY. Lunch is served. 

Tuesday, Oct. 29- Book or Treat 6-8pm: Your child is invited to wear their costume during Book or Treat!  Since you are spending the evening with us, go ahead and plan for dinner! You can pre-order a Papa John’s pizza and dine in our cafe or take it home after the event. Pizzas will be delivered to Trevvett.  Here is the link to order.

Reminders:

Please remember to practice Red Rainbow Words so that you can get your Orange words! This is part of homework. The game is to be practiced at home with family. Also return the reading log every 2 weeks! 

Volunteers needed! Please let me know if you are interested in helping our class 1 morning a week during reading stations from 8:30-9:30. You would be working with  small groups, playing games, practicing rainbow words, and listening to children read. Let me know if you are interested!
