• Expand the use of a sketchbook/journal by adding preliminary sketches, finished drawings, critical writings and class notes (AII.1)

• Identify the four major printmaking processes:  Relief, intaglio, stencil, planographic
• Proof and pull a signed edition of prints
• Create a series of prints using intaglio  technique.

Art History/Cultural Context

• Identify and examine works of art in their historical context and relate them to contemporaneous historical events and personalities
• Study prints from the following styles and periods:  Impressionism,  Post- Impressionism, Romanticism, English printmakers of the 19th century.
• Describe traditional and nontraditional media and subject matter in works of art in relation to historical and contemporary meaning.  (AII.14)
• Identify common characteristics of works of art and design that are presented as a series or sequence (AII.15)

• Critique prints by describing, interpreting, analyzing, and evaluating
• Self evaluate works of art based on pre-determined criteria
