Hot summer days are here! It’s hard to believe there are only 9 1/2 short days between us and summer break! We’re going to make the most of them and pack in the most memories possible before officially becoming…GULP…middle schoolers!
THIS WEEK IN…
Reading- We continued our novel study on “Because of Mr. Terupt”. We made it to the climax of the story and are eager to learn what will happen next! We will conclude the book next week. 
Writing- Our Genius Hour projects are in full SWING! Students worked together to find common shared interests and then paired up to become the genius of their topic. I look forward to the learning about all the different items during a slideshow presentation created by each group!
Social Studies- We started the conclusion of our unit on the West region of the United States. The students completed quizzes on the states and capitals in the region, and next week they will complete a final assessment on the region.
Math & Science– Visit Miss Capano’s blog to read what students did in math and science this week!

- Talent Show (6:00-8:00 PM) – Tickets are $3 and can be purchased in advance or at the door. Come see Ibram and Samia shine!

- “JA in a Day” – Junior Achievement visits with an economics lesson!
