ACA Career Coach Blog

Hello Springers!

Here we are, just about halfway into the first semester of school year 2021-2022. I hope that everyone is adjusting well to in-person learning. I am super excited to join the staff here at Highland Springs High School as your ACA Coach. While I am employed by Reynolds College, my office is in the Conference Room of the Blue hallway (2100-CR). I encourage you to swing by and introduce yourselves. Some of you I’ve met over the last few weeks as Mrs. Artis-Ablack and I have been reviewing grades and meeting with students as needed.

The holidays are quickly approaching. While I know many of you will be having a good time with family & friends, please remember to stay on top of all class assignments. We want all of you to remain in the ACA program. As a gentle reminder, your GPA should be a 3.0 or higher throughout your time here at HSHS. In case you want some interesting reading, check out this article I found on the benefits of taking college courses while in high school:

Wishing you all a Happy & Hearty Thanksgiving,
