Appalachian Conservation Corps runs seasonal programs where members complete hands-on conservation service work in natural resource conservation and environmental stewardship. ACC runs youth and young adult programs, so sophomores and juniors could participate in our paid summer programs. Seniors could do a summer program with us before attending university in the fall, or stick with us through the fall to jumpstart a career in conservation. Adult members are hired through AmeriCorps, so they would earn a living stipend as well as an education award. All open positions can be found here: Open Positions | Appalachian Conservation Corps (appalachiancc.org).

Honey Baked Ham – part time position for seniors with early release

St. Mary’s Woods Assisted Living– “The shift starts right after school at 4:15pm and our servers usually leave around 7pm, or 6:30pm on a good night, it is very similar to restaurant style serving except all the patrons live here and see the waitstaff on a daily basis. Our early bird dinner shifts allow the servers time they need to socialize and do homework while still making a regular paycheck.  Shifts here also tend to be less hectic or demanding than a typical restaurant especially after servers get to know the residents, in fact many keep in touch and have grown to see the residents as extended family.” $9.00 per hour
