VCU School of Dentistry’s 2019- 2020 Dental Scholars program for high school students is now open for applications. Dental Scholars is a free pre-dental program where participants explore dentistry as a health care profession. Participants learn through interactive lectures, hands-on activities, and clinical observations. Participants are also given preparatory information for successful admission to a four-year college program and dental school.
We want to encourage students with an interest in topics such as science, health/health care, or dentistry itself to be a part of these programs. One of our goals is to get high school students from various geographical areas including the schools within the city of Richmond involved at VCU to become aware of their available resources for their future endeavors.
Requirements for the program, along with further information about Dental Scholars and our other pipeline programs can be found on our website https://dhsd.vcu.edu/.
