Pathways to Science is a free summer residential experience for high school Latinas in Central Virginia. The purpose of this NSF-funded program is to engage with Latinas who are interested in STEM early in their high school career with the goal of encouraging them to pursue a college education and career in STEM. Young women who are chosen for Pathways to Science receive the following benefits:
- A free, weeklong summer residential camp at Randolph-Macon College, where they engage with other Latinas with a passion for STEM, meet Latina scientists, travel to experience science in action, and get to live in our dorms and learn about life in a college campus.
- A $5000 scholarship to the college of their choice upon completion of the summer program.
- Free family passes to our partner organizations the Science Museum of Virginia, Maymont, and Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden.
- Many additional benefits!
