Furman Scholars Program- Juniors

Furman University is seeking the next class of Furman Scholars. Students selected as Furman Scholars are eligible for at least $20,000 per year, $80,000 over four years in scholarships upon acceptance to Furman University. Additionally, Furman Scholars are eligible for a fee waiver on their Common Application.

Students must be current juniors who meet the following requirements:

  • A genuine interest in an education in the liberal arts or sciences
  • A high school weighted GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • At least a 1300 on SAT,  a 1360 on SAT-R, a 1360 on PSAT, or a 29 on the ACT
  • Significant involvement in extracurricular activities and community service
  • Demonstrated leadership potential

QuestBridge College Prep Scholars Program- Juniors

The College Prep Scholars Program is designed to assist academically outstanding, low-income students. Awards for College Prep Scholars include:

  • Full Scholarships to college summer programs at Stanford, Yale, Penn, Emory, and more
  • Exclusive access to 40 top colleges at a National College Admissions Conference
  • Distinction as an outstanding candidate for admission to partner colleges
  • Personalized college essay feedback from a trained coach
  • Quest for Excellence Awards, such as laptops and all expense paid campus visits

Who is eligible:

Must be a high school junior, typically in the top 5-10% of their class, earning primarily As in the most challenging courses available, whose families earn less that $65,000 annually with minimal assets. Students should also demonstrate strength in character and motivation to succeed.
