Free VCU Art Program for Teens

The VCU Department of Sculpture + Extended Media, in partnership with ART 180 and the VCU Institute for Contemporary Art, will begin offering a free 10-week Saturday art program for Richmond teens this fall. Dubbed “The Future Studio,” the program is designed to give local teens the chance to expand their creative potential within VCU’s world renowned sculpture facilities.  Detailed information on the program, and a link to the online application form, can be found here: http://arts.vcu.edu/sculpture/future-studio/

The Future Studio will serve 15 students per semester, selected via an online application form. We are seeking students who are curious, self-motivated, creative, and eager to try new things. No prior experience in making sculpture is expected or required.

The Future Studio is open to high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. The program will run on Saturdays from 10am-2pm, from October 7th to December 9th. The application deadline is 9/24/17.
