The Howard University Alumni Club of Richmond, VA (HUAC-RVA) is sponsoring a bus trip to visit Howard University on Friday, March 31, 2017 in conjunction with Accepted Students Day.
This trip is open to all students who have been accepted to Howard University for the Fall of 2017 and their parents; prospective students and their parents; and Howard alumni looking to mentor secondary students on their journey to Howard University. Accepted/prospective student and parent tickets are $30.00 and alumni tickets are $25.00
To purchase tickets for the bus trip, please visit the following link via EventBrite: www.HUBusTripSpring2017.eventbrite.com. This is a recruiting opportunity for the school and for the club. Please indicate on the eventbrite registration the name, school year, and status for all students who will be attending the trip (both accepted and prospective students.)
The University has shared that the event is nearing capacity; therefore, it is recommended that you purchase your tickets as soon as possible as the bus is expected to sell out. Registration for the bus trip closes on Sunday, 3/26/2017.
Once registration ends, all registrants will be e-mailed a permission form for safety purposes. All students must have their parents complete this form. No exceptions. Our expected arrival time back in Richmond will be 7pm.
The bus will meet attendees at the Walmart on Sheila Lane between 6:30 and 7:00 am. Please park your cars in the back of the lot, near the Lowe’s. Please be prompt so that the group can remain on schedule and ensure that necessary permission forms are completed before departure.

- 6:45-7:00am: Meet at Walmart in Richmond, Welcome, Distribution of Snacks
7:30am: Depart for Howard University
9:30-9:45am: Arrive at Howard University Campus
10:00am: Accepted Students Day Program Begins - 12:00-3:00pm Lunch and Tours
- 3:00-4:00pm Visit to the University Bookstore
- 4:00pm Depart Washington, DC
- 6:30-7:00pm Arrive at Walmart Sheila Lane in Richmond
