Visual & Performing Arts Summer Governor’s School Interest Meeting – Thursday, October 29
Each year, our students have the opportunity to apply for the Visual and Performing Arts Summer Governor’s School, a program sponsored by the Virginia Department of Education. If accepted, students will spend a month in residence on the Radford University campus, taking classes and enhancing their skills in the fields of Visual Arts, Dance, Music and Theatre. More information about the program can be found at these links:

Henrico High School can send TWO students in each of these discipline areas (Dance, Music Vocal, Music Instrumental, Theatre and Visual Arts) to the regional auditions in January 2021. In order to qualify for the regional auditions, students must complete an in-house audition/selection process at HHS to earn one of the two spots. We will hold an interest meeting for students who want to learn about the application process and to explain the audition requirements.
The VPA Governor’s School Interest meeting will be held on Thursday, October 29 @ 3:00 p.m. Contact Dr. Stephanie Poxon (slpoxon@henrico.k12.va.us) for the meeting link.
