In Henrico County, the Code of Student Conduct specifies expectations for behavior and punishments for misbehavior, but the code needs improvement in the responsible use of technology. Abiding by the dress code is simple; however, many students have a problem following it when it comes to ripped jeans, pencil skirts, leggings, fishnet stockings and yoga pants, among other things. School is a place to learn, not to show off the latest trends.

Students dread Labor Day weekend, the last weekend of summer. Soon the last weekend of summer could change.

When students return next year, Promethean boards, fresh paint and new furniture will replace the tractors, forklifts and cranes of the school’s five-year renovation. During the final phase of construction, workers made improvements to the gym, music rooms, canopies, sidewalks, parking lots and system of surveillance cameras.
