During the second week of making clay projects with the Artist in Residence, David Camden, students finished constructing their 3-D clay vase, bowl, or pot and decorated it with underglaze.  Students used techniques such as sgraffito to add designs including geometric Greek motifs and Native American symbols or patterns.  Students chose whether or not to add a coil handle or foot to their piece.  Sudents used black, red, blue, brown, and white underglaze to paint their pottery.  (We kinda decided that those colors represented the earth and sky.)
