Studies Department at Pocahontas Middle school organized an amazing Veteran’s Day assembly. This school wide event included music performed by the band, orchestra and chorus. Teachers and students spoke about their gratitude for the veterans of the United States military. And, members of our own staff were recognized for their service past and present. After the school-wide assembly, our guest speakers Colonel William Cosby (U.S. Army Retired), Major General Jody J. Daniels (U.S. Army), and Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff G2 (U.S. Army) were able to participate in a question and answer broadcast from the HOX News Studio. Students and faculty were able to submit questions using a Google form, then those questions were posed to the guests. The talk-show/interview format allowed the students to get many of their questions answered directly from a Veteran.
