Lesson Summary

In preparation for the Winter Olympic Games, students researched a Winter Olympic event of their choice. Information gained through research was used to write a script for a green screen video in DoInk. The finished videos were shared through Seesaw and the QR codes to the videos were included in station activities throughout the gym. The exercises included in the stations mimicked the skills needed for that Olympic sport.

Rating:Ideal – Explanation: Students used a variety of online and print resources to gather information about a Winter Olympic Sport of their choice. Students assembled information gained from research into a script to be read on camera using the DoInk Green Screen App.

Rating: Ideal – Explanation: Students used the DoInk App to record themselves explaining the sport they researched in front of a background where the sport is played. The finished work samples were uploaded to Seesaw and the QR code was attached to the station directions in the gym so that other classes could scan and view their video to learn more about the sport.
