Lesson Summary
Can you imagine finding a camera with undeveloped film from a past era? What would those images be? What story would they tell? Students were given an opportunity to tell that story based on a real camera that was discovered in a German gun emplacement at Pointe Du Hoc on the Normandy beaches in France. In groups, students placed themselves in the shoes of a person who might have left that camera when forced to leave the encampment abruptly on June 6, 1944. What might those picture show if the film was developed?
