Lesson Summary
In a world where news often travels faster through Social Media than the professional News Media, and where the News Media struggles to accurately report the news at a pace that satiates our need to know now, consumers of the news are frequently challenged with deciphering fact from opinion and fiction. As Journalism students learn what news is and how it should be reported, they are also faced with these challenges. To make sense of the news, Journalism students were tasked with teaching the rest of the student body how to be careful and critical consumers of the news.
