Too Many Paper Towels

This lesson is for : Grade 3:

Summary

Students learned that 45 lbs. of paper towels were used by a person each year on average. They then determined long that would be by using a scale and meter sticks. Once in groups students came up with machines or devices that they could use to reduce the amount of paper towel used. The students then worked together in their groups to construct a model of their machine using recyclables. Students finally explained their machines and how the reduced the amount of paper towels used with Educreations.
