Summary

WMS needs a logo for their gym floor. Using your knowledge of slope and y-intercept along with domain and range, design a new logo for WMS!

Rating: Ideal – Explanation: Students were working on an authentic task and they had to use problem solving strategies throughout the process in order to fix any problems that came up. This is evident in their reflection at the end of the project.

Creativity & Innovation

Rating: Ideal – Explanation: Students had to use their knowledge of writing equations of lines and domain and range in order to complete this project. The students took risks by creating designs that had over 40 equations. These equations varied from sloped lines, to horizontal and vertical lines. The students also reflected on with their reflection at the end of the project. The students also got to vote on their favorite class design at the end, which encouraged them to look critically at every student’s creative process.
