Summary
From Star Wars vs. Battlestar Galactica to Robin Thicke vs. Marvin Gaye, cases of copyright infringement have permeated many industries, especially the music, movie and business industries. In this increasingly digital world, intentional and unintentional piracy of the work of others is on the rise. Teaching students to respect the creative works of others in all formats is essential. In this project, students research famous cases of copyright infringement, examine both sides of the cases, and see how copyright infringement can impact people’s careers and futures.
