Summary
The students will choose a character from the novel – The Chocolate Touch. They will use the online web resource voki.com to create the character of choice. They must use details from the story in order to correctly illustrate the characters appearance as well as include supporting details about the characters role in the story. Once the class creates their characters they will embed them on the class wiki in order to have everything house in a centralized location.

Students were given the option to work in self selected groups but most chose to work independently. The end product was shared out via wikispaces in order for people in the community to see what is going on in the classroom.
The students are responding to and discovering the answers purposeful questions throughout this lesson. They were required to justify their answers when creating their voki. This lesson could have scored higher had the teacher allowed for more communication collaboration and/or focused more on giving the students a choice when creating their end product.
Students were introduced to voki and wikispaces which provided them with the necessary tools in order to cultivate their creativity. This was the first time the class had used these tools so the teacher wanted to keep the digital tool specific to voki and wikispaces.
