Summary
After students research a region of Virginia and share their
findings, students work collaboratively to create a movie, presentation,
slide show, vodcast, common craft, brochure or any multimedia
project to showcase the five regions. Each product contains visuals,
facts, characteristics and products from each region. The products
are sent to another fourth grade class in another state to
be judged. The students judge the projects in the categories of visual
appeal, most informative, most persuasive and most creative. The
classes conduct an Elluminate session in which the winners are
announced.
