Summary

The students will “spice-up” commonly used adjectives by using an online Thesaurus. Students will then have the opportunity to use their knowledge of adjectives by selecting the best word choices in a keynote presentation with their ActiVotes. Next, they will work cooperatively in small groups to create sample captions for a Chick-Fil-A menu. The groups will then use their knowledge to design their own personalized menus using descriptive and persuasive captions for various food items such as appetizers, entrees, desserts, sides, and beverages. Finally, the student groups will design a Photo Booth commercial which they will present in order to entice potential customers, their classmates, to come to their restaurant based on their appetizing menu items.
