Capturing History

Submitted by: Melissa Nacy
School: Jackson Davis Elementary School

Summary

Students were placed in groups of two to present a topic from the social studies curriculum that
has already been studied. Students were given the freedom to decide how to present their
information to the class, but most decided to present as a news broadcast. Students took class
time to work with their partner to write scripts. For homework, they looked for props and
costumes to bring to school to use in their project. Students’ presentations were taped using
Photo Booth after ample practice time. The teacher used all presentations from Photo Booth to
make a movie.
