Business Plan Project: Let’s Eat!

Summary

Students will learn the purpose and importance of writing a business plan. After learning what goes into a business plan, with a partner(s), they will plan and design a restaurant business of their choice. In addition to writing the business plan, they will also design letterhead, business cards, mailings, and a webpage.

TIPC Ratings

Research and Information Fluency: Teacher provided www.bplans.com website as a reference. The students searched the site for business plans that were relevant and related to their business type to use as a guide and reference.

Students worked with partners to design their plans and original content. Peer reviews were completed using the rubrics provided.

Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Teacher supported and questioned students as they justified decisions. Students problem solved and used appropriate digital tools to to create their business plan.

Creativity and Innovation: providing for opportunities for students to demonstrate collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills. This is the basis of the entire project, applying existing knowledge to create ideas and products.
They are using what they have learned from their research to design their own restaurant business.
