Summary

Students will identify and select appropriate internet sources to research key biographical information on figures from the Biography of the Millennium: Top 100 People of the Last 1,000 Years. They will use this information and a teacher-created Facebook template to create two original, mock social networking sites specific to their chosen influential person and a person whom they think will impact the next 1000 years. Students will use critical thinking skills and problem solving skills to translate biographical information into the site. Students will assess classmates during the stages of creation and apply peer feedback to the final product. Students will present the sites in class, and the teacher will evaluate them using a rubric.
