In Student Owned learning experiences, learners are agents of their own learning and have voice and choice in the learning process. They set goals as well as assess, monitor, and reflect on their progress.

  • Agency: How do learners provide input on setting goals based on desired learning outcomes?
  • Voice: To what degree does each learner have the opportunity to inform what they learn?
  • Choice: What flexibility do learners have in selecting, monitoring, and changing their learning paths and products?
