Principals,
Please add the following two items to your end of the year checkout list for all employees:
1. I have removed all content that I want to keep that is currently in SchoolSpace. (This includes my courses, my LOR, and any group content I have.)
2. If I am actively using my teachers.henrico folder for an instructional website, I have given my ITRT the information they need to be able to move that website to a new server.
Background info:
1. SchoolSpace will no longer be available after June 30, 2016. All HCPS employees must download or export all SchoolSpace content by that date. If you have school groups that you use to distribute content to your teachers, those materials must be downloaded or exported as well. The same applies to clubs or groups that have content in SchoolSpace.
2. MANY years ago, teachers used our teachers.henrico server to create web pages. The majority of all our teachers no longer use these folders for classroom instruction. ITRTs will be collecting information from those teachers who are actively using their websites. These websites will be moved to a new server. The old server is 16 years old and must be replaced. We want to be user all teachers have taken care of both of these tasks before they leave for summer. Please discuss with your ITRT if you have any questions.
