We wanted to share with everyone two documents related to benchmark testing this year. The first is a process document that includes policies, procedures, and important dates for the elementary and secondary levels. The second document displays correlations between benchmark scores and predicted student performance on SOL exams as well as correlations between fall NWEA scores and predicted performance on SOL exams. The cut scores related to benchmark testing on this spreadsheet will be used by Research and Planning staff when creating school and division wide data reports. Within a building, staff can manipulate cut scores in the reporting features of Interactive Achievement (IA) for their own purposes. Especially when used in combination, these correlations can help identify those students most in need of additional supports.
