State regulations require that the sale of food items on school property during both the breakfast and lunch periods be limited to those items sold by the school nutrition program and that are in compliance with the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act. The sale of other food items on school property during these periods is prohibited. This prohibition also applies to fundraiser and bookstore sales. If unauthorized sales occur, then State regulation requires that the proceeds to be remitted to the SNS fund.
