It is that time again to begin scheduling the state mandated School Bus Emergency Exit Drills. If you have any questions about how to conduct the drills, refer to “Bus Evacuation Drill Procedures” in the Resources section of your Safety & Crisis Manual or contact your area Transportation supervisor. School bus emergency exit drills are conducted on all school buses including buses that are dedicated to carrying students with special needs.

Please mark your calendars and note that in order to be in compliance with the Code of Virginia, the first of the two annual bus evacuation drills must be completed and documented with the attached reports. The report is due to the Pupil Transportation office no later than October 23, 2015, and the completion date should be recorded in Section E of your school’s 2015-2016 emergency drill form.
