Bus stop information for individual students will continue to be accessible to secondary school staff on PowerSchool.
Andy Jenks is informing secondary parents that they will be able to view student bus stop information through the PowerSchool Parent Portal beginning on September 4th and from ZippSlip on September 1st. We know some parents will still seek to get bus stop information directly from schools or Transportation offices.
The Technology Department has created a Data Extract report to pull transportation information out of PowerSchool for use in Excel. Once the data is in Excel, it can be formatted, filtered or sorted for reporting needs or it can be used to do a mail merge to produce labels. Technology will provide the instructions on how to run the Data Extract report.
We are finalizing our routes and student assignments this week. School staff will be able to pull bus information from Power School beginning on Friday August 28. We will send letters to Specialty Centers for distribution to individual students later this week.
We will be sending you .PDF files of our bus routes if you would like to print them and post them at your school. These sheets will also be posted on our web page for a few weeks.
Also remember that our School Assistant product at techweb.henrico/tranportation allows staff to look up bus information for individual students and to print out an alphabetical list of students with transportation information.
