Puritan Cleaners/Feedmore partnership opportunity

Principals,

I’m passing along an easy and effective partnership opportunity from Puritan Cleaners’ Feedmore initiative. I’ve included his comments below my name.

If you’re interested in having your school participate, Norman Way’s contact info is included. When you (or your designated partnership contact) decide you want to move forward, you and Norm should each sign the partnership form (which can be downloaded at the bottom of our partnerships page: http://henrico.k12.va.us/GetInvolved/BusinessPartnershipsHEF/SchoolCommunityPartnerships.html) and briefly note what the partnership will entail.

“Each year quite a few schools join us in collecting food for Feedmore through “100K Meals.” Helping feed kids in the area is simple and it helps teach your kids that helping others is easy. It only takes a quick promotion and an hour or less of collections. Here is a typical process:

1. A school/class/grade agrees to collect food.
2. Send two notices to parents: first to announce the date, and then again the day before.
3. If you’d like, use the sample letters, posters and coloring pages at the bottom of the page at www.puritancleaners.com/community/puritan-cleaners-100000-meals/
4. Simply have students drop food at the school entrance. Puritan Cleaners will come by to collect the food the same day.
5. At most schools, Puritan Cleaners will have the capability to film a brief segment for YouTube that will feature a student, students or staff that can be used to send parents letting them see examples of your teaching the students community involvement.
6. In some events, WRIC-8NEWS will be on hand with a personality to film a spot to be featured in the news. (These are scheduled in order received and subject to change based on current developing stories in our area.)

As you see, it is simple and can be done start to finish in just two or three days. We can begin with appointments immediately and can run through June 5. We are especially looking for some EARLY adopters that can be used as lead stories prior to our May 24 start. And, most schools have found that the super short program collects just as much food as a longer event with less time and energy.

TO RESERVE A SPACE email Norman Way at nway@puritancleaners.com or call directly to mobile at 804-399-1059.

Thanks for helping to make a positive difference in Greater Richmond!
