Our libraries are staffed by world class school librarians. Let’s help recognize the talent we have in HCPS! Until January 15th, nominations are open for the Virginia Association of School Librarians (VaASL) Librarian of the Year Award for the James Region. Last year Kathleen Roberts, school librarian at Rivers Edge Elementary, was the winner of this prestigious award.
Winners of the Regional Librarian of the Year will be announced at the VaASL Spring Regional Conference. Regional winners will then become a candidate for the state VaASL School Librarian of the Year Award.
The nomination form is short, but a nomination letter must accompany it. If you need any assistance with the nomination process, I will be happy to help.
