Dear Principals:
At the last principal’s meeting there was discussion of removing a requirement for Interim Grades at secondary. While the principals were all in favor of this action, please be advised that this recommendation has NOT been reviewed/approved by DLT. The current practice will stay in place until the following actions have occurred:
1. ALL High School principals have agreed on a written plan outlining what measures will be required for teachers to notify parents of students who have a D/F at the marking period. This plan will include the monitoring system employed to ensure that this is done.
2. The written plan is reviewed and approved by DLT.
3. The school board has been noticed of this plan and parents have been notified of the plan.
PLEASE REMEMBER… Continue with current practice until we have an approved plan.
